The British Cider Salon’s next stop is Pécs
On April 18, 2026, the cider world will be watching Pécs: Littke Pezsgőpincészet will host the first edition of Cider Salon Hungary, the official Central European sister event of the British Cider Salon. The organizers aim to showcase the diverse world of fine cider and create a new meeting place for the region’s cider community.
Domestic cider enters the international scene
More than twenty cidermakers have already confirmed their participation at Cider Salon Hungary. Roughly half of the exhibitors are Hungarian, so the domestic fine cider scene will be almost entirely present in Pécs. The organizers are also expecting producers from Slovakia, Croatia and Austria, as well as several producers from Germany, Italy, Sweden and Norway. The cider “powerhouses” of France and the United Kingdom are also represented with some prominent players. The list of exhibitors will continue to grow in the coming months.
Littke Champagne Winery, as cider headquarters
The choice of location was conscious: the historic Littke Champagne Winery is one of the iconic buildings of Pécs, which provides a characterful yet elegant backdrop for the presentation of fine ciders. The winery’s spaces will host tastings, professional dialogue, and community gatherings at the same time – the organizers promise an event with a particularly human, direct atmosphere.
Unlimited tasting, with more than 60 items
The event offers a unified package: each ticket includes unlimited tastings from all makers and items, an exclusive, take-home Cider Salon crystal tasting glass, and the opportunity to meet and talk in person with the With each producer coming with at least three different ciders, based on the current exhibitor list, there is an opportunity to taste more than 60 items in a single day.
A bridge between Central Europe and traditional cider regions
The declared mission of Cider Salon Hungary is to present the culture of fine cider in Hungary and the region, to increase the awareness of domestic producers, and to build a bridge between the Central European cider communities and Western European, between traditional cider regions. The long-term goal of the organizers is for the event to become a reference point among cider events in Central and Eastern Europe, where in addition to tasting, educational content and professional discussions will also be included.
