Beer production increased last year in the Czech Republic, due to the growing export
The Czech breweries brewed 19.65 million hectoliters of beer last year, 2.3 percent more than in 2013 – the Association of the Czech Brewers announced on Tuesday in Prague.
While the domestic beer consumption essentially remained at the previous year's level, the Czech beer exports rose by eight percent.
Last year 16.29 million hectoliters of beer was consumed in the Czech Republic, which is an annual decline of 0.2 percent. The average beer consumption has not changed: it was 144 liters last year. (MTI)
