2015 was the year of wine
At world level 2.2 percent more wine was produced in 2015 than in 2014: 274.4 million hectolitres were made, according to data from the International Organisation of Vine and Wine. In global wine retail volume sales grew by 1.8 percent to 104.3 million hectolitres, while value sales increased by 10.6 percent to EUR 28.3 billion.
