A new rule tightens the actions in stores
The actions of the stores will be tightened by a new EU and Hungarian law, which will come into force on Saturday, May 28, the Association of Conscious Shoppers said in a statement sent to MTI on Friday, adding that this would open a new era in retail.
According to the new rule, when announcing the promotion and announcing the price reduction, the original (previous) price must be presented in HUF, which is the lowest price in the 30-day period before the start of the promotion. Thus, the trader cannot do so by raising the price before the start of the promotion and then lowering it, thereby misleading the buyer. If the promotional product does not have a history of 30 days, the lowest price valid for 15 days before the promotion must be indicated – was written. (MTI)
