Stores lost one-sixth of the turnover due to lack of shelves
Laurel Group presented its self-developed shelf management support software, that helps to detect and prevent lack of stocks and other anomalies.
The turnover issues of a food store is a very complex problem. The European Association of ECR investigated these problems. According to the research of the sssociation, up to 10 percent increase in traffic may occur, when the customer always find everything on the shelves, because the large amount of goods stimulate consumption. However, if the charge of the shelves at certain products are inadequate or incomplete, then the stores can loose large turnover. According to the survey it can be up to 15-17 percent.
