Security remains the most important factor in online shopping
According to Visa’s 2025 survey of e-commerce payments in Central and Eastern Europe, security remains the most important factor for 83% of Hungarian consumers when shopping online.

44% of Hungarians also said they are very likely to abandon an online purchase if the process is too lengthy.
“When every second counts at the checkout, technologies like Visa Click to Pay – which are based on tokenisation – are real game changers”,
told Bence Sármay, country manager of Visa in Hungary.
