BioTechUSA donates 9 million HUF worth of protein slices to 4,500 needy people with the help of the Hungarian Food Bank
In order to save products that are no longer on the market but are still suitable for consumption, BioTechUSA has initiated a partnership agreement with the Hungarian Food Bank Association. As the first step of the cooperation, the domestic-owned food supplement manufacturer will donate 13,000 near-maturity protein slices in perfect condition to 4,500 needy people worth about 9 million HUF.
In Hungary, 1.8 million tons of food surplus is generated every year, but at the same time many do not get enough food on a daily basis. The Hungarian Food Bank Association, which has been operating since 2005, intends to change this, which last year provided food donations worth almost 7.5 billion HUF to nearly 300,000 people.
