Forint is underrated, according to Big Mac index
The Economist's so-called Big Mac Index got an update last week, with McDonald's signature burger serving as a rubric for the valuation of currency around the world. This year they have a nifty interactive feature that allows you to choose a base currency, look at an individual country's Big Mac price over time, and more. According to the Economist, “Burgernomics was never intended as a precise gauge of currency misalignment, merely a tool to make exchange-rate theory more digestible. Yet the Big Mac index has become a global standard.” 'Tis the season for McDonald's themed infographics; just yesterday the Guardian posted an interactive map of all 34,392 around the world.
