Kaufland promotes cycling in Berlin
Interested customers are shown by BUND how to take home larger purchases and how to cycle safely with a shopping trailer.
In co-operation with the German
alliance for the protection of environment and nature, BUND, Schwarz
Group's hypermarket operator Kaufland is hosting a road show in
Berlin to promote shopping by bike. According to the retailer,
"cycling is enjoying increasing popularity in Berlin."
At the same time, Danish retailer Dansk
Supermarked has said that, in collaboration with service provider
Freetrailer, it has started offering its Bilka and A-Z customers
trailers free of charge to take their purchases home.
