The seasonally adjusted October value of the Purchasing Manager Index (BMI): 50.5.
Compared with the previous October values, this year’s value is lower than the long-term average for this month (52.4) and also below the average of the values for this month of the previous three years (53.1).
The sub-indices examined in the survey mostly increased, and in two cases the rate of increase exceeded ten percentage points. The sub-indices are mostly still in the recessionary range.
The employment index is 1.3 percentage points lower this month, and its value indicates a contraction this month. In the past period, the index hovered around 50.0 points, which fell back this month (48.4).
