The Lake Balaton remains the top domestic tourism destination

An average Hungarian family spends 177 thousand HUF on vacation this year – show the recent surveys. This is pretty much the same as last year, but yet it seems that fewer people will go on a vacation. The reasons are clearly financial. It seems certain that this year, Lake Balaton remains the top domestic tourism destination.

The holiday mood of the Hungarian families is dwindling – shows the recently published survey of the Magyar Turizmus (MT) Zrt.  (Hungarian Tourism (MT) Ltd.) Third of the surveyed households (nearly 35 percent) plans a trip during the summer, while this period of the year last year, 54 percent of the families were planning summer holiday. (Penzcentrum.hu)
