Duckweed could be the next superfood
Duckweed has been declared fit for human consumption by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and could soon be available on the European food market, as a sustainable and nutrient-rich vegetable.

The decision is based on ten years of research by Wageningen University in the Netherlands. Duckweed is fast-growing, requires minimal land and doesn’t need pesticides or artificial lighting. //
