95 percent of baby foods in the United States are contaminated with heavy metals
Most baby foods examined in the United States contained lead and other heavy metals. Of the 68 brands tested by Healthy Babies Bright Futures (HBBF), 95 percent of 168 baby foods were contaminated with heavy metals, lead, arsenic, mercury, or cadmium – Origo wrote.
87 percent of baby foods contained more than one heavy metal and in every fourth all four metals were detected at the same time.
Chuck Schumer, leader of the Democratic Senate fraction, called on the US Food and Drug Safety Authority (FDA) to verify the data and issue a statement. (origo)
