EU’s common agricultural policy does not favor livestock production
The Union's common agricultural policy does not favor livestock production. This means that these sectors are not eligible for EU funds, therefore the role of national subsidies aree appreciated in the sector. The poultry welfare subsidies – amounted to 4 billion HUF in 2010 – this year reached 12 billion HUF, so tripled in six years.
The professional control panels for the second quarter animal welfare supports should be sent to the Poultry Product Council (BTT) by 15 July. The payment requests must be submitted to the Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (MVH) by 31 July. Those who do not submit the requests for payments on time will be deprived of the support.
