No one wants to purchase Balfi
The Balfi mineral water bottling plant closed and the brand ceased to exist. The plant was shut down almost two years ago, and in the summer of 2022 the last bottles disappeared from store shelves, and no one needs the plant – reports the Agricultural Sector.
They tried to sell the Balfi plant in April, but so far no buyer has been found. The company’s net annual revenue was HUF 4.5 billion in 2019, and then fell to HUF 1.7 billion in 2021 due to the coronavirus epidemic and other factors. Losses increased, and in 2020 a HUF 317 million loss was recorded. In addition, three executions were initiated against the company.
According to the newspaper’s information, the managers of Pet-Pack Kft., the manufacturer of Balfit, which is being liquidated, cannot be reached, and one of them has probably left for Poland. In 2012, the company registered with its headquarters in Dunakesz received HUF one hundred million EU development support.
