Danone’s revenues increased thanks to the baby foods
Danone’s revenues in the third quarter of 2014 rose to 5.42 billion euros. In the third quarter of the previous year the French food company reached 5.25 billion euros.
The increase in sales was especially great in the baby food category. The increase amounted to 19.2 percent on a year on year basis.
The big jump explained is explained by the fact that the basis was low in 2013. A year ago, a supplier of Danone – wrongly as it turned out – gave out a warning there can be a problem with a product so 70 percent decline occured in sales in some Asian countries. (tozsdeforum.hu, MTI)
