Which brands have won with the meatball gate
On Monday, Lidl Hungary is likely to have created a historic post and launched a virality that has become known as the meatball gate.
In a nutshell, lots of brands – on a product and service basis – got on the hype train on time (and a few were a little late). Now we will not evaluate the comment tsunami, but rather show you what users think in terms of numbers of likes.
The biggest winners of posts and comments are primarily big brands – but the important lesson is that the quicker, the more relevant and authentic a reaction is, the more users appreciate the brand engagement. This is how the National Meteorological Service with a smaller follower base, the Budapest Bike Maffia, and the Kométa could rank high on the list.
