A fine of HUF 980,000 can also hit Hungarians in the tourist paradise
Anybody who swims in the sea on Mallorca’s popular beaches despite the prohibition sign can be fined up to HUF 980,000. The new rules came into force recently and the authorities are taking them quite seriously. We show you what signs to look for!
The municipality of Santa Margalida in the north of Mallorca has issued new measures for beachgoers. According to this, vacationers will be fined 2,500 euros (approx. 980,000) if they go swimming despite the bathing ban. Bathing bans are usually issued when there is some kind of danger to life, and the law enforcers take the enforcement of the rules seriously – Pénzcentrum drew attention based on the article of the German car club.
