AB InBev has spent 70 billion USD on acquisitions
The acquisition fever and consolidation can end on the global beer market, if the American-Belgian-Brazilian Anheuser-Busch InBev, will completely annex the Mexican Modelo company.
The AB In-Bev already has a 50 percent stake in Modelo, manufacturer of the worldwide known Corona beer, labeled as Coronita in Spain. According to insider informations, the Anheuser-Busch InBev would like to obtain the rest for 20 billion USD.
The AB InBev headquartered in Leuven, Belgium is the acquisition champion of the recent times. The company has spent 70 billion USD on a dozen of large and small beer companies. (Népszabadság Online)
