6.7 billion spent on summer meals

The free holiday meals given to disadvantaged and multiply disadvantaged children starts on Monday – Fülöp Attila, of the Ministry of Human Resources said at a Press Conference in Tatabánya.

The Minister of State, responsible for Social Affairs and Social Inclusion said that the program gives daily hot meal to 134,000 children. The government devotes 6.7 billion HUF to the program. He added that in 2010 only 2.4 billion forints were spent on free meals. (MTI)
