In the first eight months, the number of guest nights grew by 6.3 percent in Romania
In the first eight months of this year, the number of guest nights increased by 6.3 percent to 18.788 million, compared to the same period of last year, according to the Romanian National Institute.
81 percent of guest nights were spent by Romanian tourists, 19 percent by foreigners. Romanian tourists spent on average 2.4 nights in commercial accommodations, while foreigners spent 1.9 nights.
11.2 percent more than 8,301 million tourists visited the commercial accommodations in Romania in the first eight months of this year, compared to the same period of last year. Most of them, 77.5 percent (6.437 million) were Romanian tourists, which is a 10.9 percent increase, compared to last year. (MTI)
