The internet has been flooded with a photo in several European countries for the past 2 days: A beach restaurant in Palmanova posted an astonishing €63,237 bill on Instagram, claiming that its guests spent €45,000 on “mixed fish dishes”. The post sparked speculation about who could afford such a large feast: the restaurant revealed that 18 guests dined, including perhaps an American sports star. The amount was also increased by premium drinks and luxury services.
However, many say that the whole thing is fake. There could be something to it: we looked into the €45,000 bill: the most expensive fish dish in the restaurant costs €60. If the bill is real, if not, it’s great for advertising.
