Agriculture: production prices down 6.2 percent
In June 2015 agricultural production prices decreased by 6.2 percent from the level of June 2014. The price of vegetable products was down 3.6 percent and the price of livestock/products of animal origin fell 10.4 percent from the base period level. Cereal crops were 13.4 percent less expensive, vegetables cost 2.1 percent less but potato prices soared 30 percent; fruits became 16.1 percent more expensive. Livestock could be bought from farmers for 7.8 percent less. In the January-June 2015 period agricultural production prices were down 6.9 percent. Vegetable product prices were 5.9 percent lower than in the same period of 2014 and livestock/products of animal origin could be purchased for 8.6 percent less.
