The revenues of McDonald's have increased
The McDonald's has reached a profit of 1.2 billion USD in the first quarter, which is lower than the analysts' expectations. In the same period of the last year, the American fast food chain reached a 1.27 billion USD net profit.
However, the company's revenue has increased. The 6.61 billion USD revenue of the first quarter of 2013 was increased to 6.7 billion USD in the first quarter of 2014. The sales revenue rose in units that was opened more than one year ago. According to Chief Executive Don Thompson, the company needs to strengthen its position, because the McDonald's is simply not that important to some customers. (Népszabadság Online)
