In February, BÁV Pawn Experts experienced an unprecedented recovery in the replacement of pledges. Compared to the same period last year, the number of redemptions increased by 55 percent, as many people used the refund to settle the lien loan. At the beginning of the year, there was also a lot of interest in investment gold. So far, for HUF 550 million, or more than half of last year’s turnover, the Hungarians have purchased gold in the BÁV Pawn Network. For the time being, the further increase in sales is hindered by a lack of stock.
