A Dutch company exported 50 thousand tons of meat without certificate of origin
Another meat scandal on the horizon: 50 thousand tons of meat without a certificate of origin were exported to European countries – including Germany too and the Netherlands. It is possible that the meat does not have a certificate of origin and mixed with horse meat – the Dutch authorities warns.
The authority has called attention of 500 companies on Wednesday to follow up and make sure they are not having from the products on their shelves. Currently there is no evidence that the meat is dangerous to health, but the origin of food is not clear, so the quality cannot be guaranteed either. (bild.de, Magyar Nemzet Online)
