5 million forints support to the Kompánia Foundation in Csepel

By organizing the 10th dm Charity Football Tournament, the drugstore chain is supporting the mental health of children living in extreme poverty in Csepel with 5 million forints through the Kompánia Foundation. This year, 16 teams competed for the cup in the tournament, including the Hungarian Actors’ National Team. The children of the company also participated in the event and played a friendly gala match with the captains of the participating teams.

This year, the drugstore chain organized the dm Charity Football Tournament for the 10th time on Saturday, April 26. The all-day event was once again hosted by the Arëna in Törökbálint. 16 teams competed in the tournament. dm fielded three teams. In addition to its business partners, the Hungarian Actors’ National Team also participated in the tournament and fought for the victory cup. The Kompánia Foundation also fielded a team. After the qualifying matches of the adult teams, a gala match was also held: children attending Kompánia Tanoda played a friendly match with a team consisting of the team captains of the participating teams.

Together for the mental health of children

By organizing the tournament, dm supported the Kompánia Foundation with 5 million forints. The foundation deals with the integration of disadvantaged children living in the South Pest region of Budapest. Thanks to the donation, the mental health and emotional stability of 70 emotionally unstable children who regularly visit the institution, living in deep poverty, typically in segregated areas in Csepel, will be supported individually and in groups for one year, in order to improve their coping skills, quality of life, and everyday academic performance and positive life prospects.

Festival atmosphere and relaxation for the whole family

In addition to the matches, the drugstore entertained the youngest fans with a variety of children’s programs, but of course they also thought about adult visitors. Visitors to the event were welcomed by the dm beauty bus, Maratonman and Nicoflex masseurs. The staff of the Kompánia Foundation also welcomed those interested with crafts, exciting competitions and advice on adolescent problems. A DJ ensured the good atmosphere. The final match took place after 5 p.m. Before that, the BEAC cheerleading team gave a short presentation and made the atmosphere even more festive. The final match was fought between the Sofidel Hungary Kft. and the dm Raktár team, from which Sofidel Hungary Kft. emerged victorious this time. The Nestlé Hungária Kft. team was able to stand on the third step of the podium, who competed with the Hungarian Actors’ Team for the bronze medal.
