Allegro has 4.2 million international customers
In the third quarter, Allegro recorded a total trade volume of 4.0 billion euros, a 10 percent increase. The company’s revenue and profit grew even faster. Growth is strong both within and outside Poland.
Allegro in Poland
The lion’s share of Allegro’s business comes from Poland, where its trade volume grew more than twice as fast as total retail sales in the country. The platform attributes its growth to the success of its BNPL-service Allegro Pay and its loyalty program Allegro Smart. Nearly one million subscribers joined, “thanks to the rollout of special bonuses and promotions”.
Allegro describes itself as “the go-to marketplace for consumers in Poland and the flywheel of the Polish economy”. Together, 128,000 sellers offer more than 200 million products.
International marketplaces
Allegro’s sales partners can also sell on the company’s international marketplaces. In 2023, a dedicated marketplace opened in the Czech Republic. Allegro launched in Slovakia early last year, and Hungary followed in October 2024. Allegro now serves 4.2 million customers across the three international marketplaces, compared to 2.8 million a year earlier. International GMV grew by 56 percent but still remains small at about 170 million euros. Allegro’s ambitions are clear, “aiming to become the most loved online shopping destination in Europe”.
Delivery, financing, and cashback
Allegro, which generated 2.6 million euros in revenue last year, seeks growth not only through expansion into new European markets but also by expanding its service offerings. Allegro Delivery now handles 36 percent of all deliveries. In collaboration with PKO Bank Polski, the company recently announced two new services: financing for businesses and a payment method with cashback.
Allegro is launching tests of an AI assistant, aiming to transform shopping with inspirational search, product summaries, and contextual buying advice.
