400 million euor bid for unfinished Arena Plaza
Active Asset Investment Management (aAIM), backed by Manchester United soccer team manager Sir Alex Ferguson, is to buy Arena Plaza, and has agreed to buy a portfolio of German retail properties for EUR 700 million.
Arena Plaza is the most massive shopping center construction underway in the
Hungarian capital. The constructor said it would open the facility by 30
October. The 180,000-sqm mall will have 65,000 sqm of rentable space, some 200
retail stores, a 10,000-sqm Tesco hypermarket. Much of the space available has
already been taken, with a number of big international names.
