TUTTI turns 40 – a defining Hungarian family company with development spanning generation
TUTTI Élelmiszeripari Kft. is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Since its founding in 1986, the company has become a defining player in Hungary’s powdered food manufacturing segment. The 100% Hungarian, family-owned business has built a stable position not only through its well-known own-brand products, but also through its extensive contract manufacturing activity in both the domestic and international markets.

The company was founded by Ottó Prohászka , a chemical engineer and food industry specialist engineer, who from the very beginning built operations on the principles of quality, innovation and diversification. TUTTI started out in an old pub building, with its first flagship product being an ice-cream powder that is still manufactured today. Within a few years, it developed into a plant with modern production capacity, while already applying pioneering technological solutions in its early years: in 1987, it was the first in Hungary to introduce protective-gas packaging for powdered products.
Following the political and economic transition, significant developments began: a new site, continuously expanding infrastructure and an ever-widening product portfolio characterised the company’s growth. From the 1990s onwards, TUTTI’s own-brand products – including drink powders, cappuccino and coffee creamer powders – reached a broad consumer base, while one of the company’s best-known products, TUTTI Dutch cocoa powder, which is now found in almost every household, also became part of everyday life.
From the 2000s, development became even more diversified, while the company maintained its deliberate, long-term growth strategy. The introduction of quality assurance systems – ISO, HACCP, IFS – further strengthened its market position. In parallel, new production technologies and product categories appeared, including vending-machine ingredients and specialised drink powders.

1986, the first building
During this period, the classic food industry product range was gradually complemented by the development of dietary supplements, which has since become one of the company’s defining, dynamically growing business lines.
From the 2010s, international presence came to the forefront: export activity expanded dynamically and the products gained recognition abroad as well. The now market-leading iced coffee product family won international awards, contributing to growing brand awareness. By the end of the decade, revenue generated from exports exceeded domestic sales.
In recent years, TUTTI has successfully completed a generational transition, bringing a new approach to the company’s operations. As second-generation leader, Andrea Prohászka , Managing Director of the company since 2019, complemented the earlier, primarily production-focused operation with marketing-driven business thinking. Under her leadership, organisational renewal, strengthening competitiveness and improving market adaptability have come into focus, while the company has preserved its core values.

Andrea Prohászka, Managing Director
“We work to turn the opportunities inherent in food manufacturing into real, workable and marketable solutions – while paying attention to the needs of consumers and our partners in everyday practice.”
– says Andrea Prohászka.
“For us, people are at the heart of every decision. Quality, flexibility and long-term cooperation are not principles but daily practice – this is what we build our shared successes on.”
The company currently employs approximately 150 people, and its operations are defined by stability, predictability and a values-based approach. Long-term cooperation, professional development and partnership play a prominent role in its organisational culture.
Today, TUTTI produces more than 2,500 types of own-brand and contract-manufactured products, and it is one of the largest domestic players in powdered food contract manufacturing. Its activities range from product development through manufacturing to complex partner collaborations. In recent years it has also opened towards new markets: it established a subsidiary in Dubai and expanded its digital channels – it currently operates four webshops.
After forty years, TUTTI Élelmiszeripari Kft. operates as a stable, mid-sized Hungarian company with an international presence, building on its traditions while continuously exploring new directions for growth.
