40 years of learning
Balázs Pászti received the Lifetime Achievement Award of Trade magazin and Lánchíd Club. Mr Pászti was born in Budapest in 1948 and worked at only two places during his 40-year career: a Fiat service and Szamos Marcipán Kft. He always learned while working, he started Eötvös Secondary School in 1962 and his last year at school was 2002, when he studied business development and e-business at the General Entrepreneurial College. During his years at Szamos Marcipán he studied marketing, trade, company management and PR. He retired from work as the company’s commercial director, but he is still president of the Association of the Hungarian Confectionery Manufacturers. He believes that one should be open, emphatic and willing to make compromises, but optimism and luck are also important factors of a successful career.
