Schiller is closing its Opel showroom after 33 years
The name of the Schiller family has been almost fused with Opel for decades, but after more than three decades of cooperation, the Chinese electric car, BYD models, will take over the showroom in the Váci út salon in Újpest. Schiller does not completely break with Opel either, because “Schiller Opel, the service is great!”: the company continues to repair and service vehicles as a brand service, but it no longer deals with newly sold models as an independent car dealership.
Today’s company group grew from a small-scale rubber workshop founded in 1980 to its current size, and has been operating as an official Opel dealer since 1991 until now. From February 2024, however, plug-in vehicles will play a leading role with the opening of BYD Schiller, while the company will continue to sell the entire product range of Toyota, Lexus, Skoda and Fiat. In addition, Schiller services Audi and Volkswagen cars and VW commercial vehicles, as well as body repairs, and also serves its customers’ mobility needs with its own rental car business and fleet management company.
