30 tons of food in the anniversary donation convoy
In the middle of October the Hungarian Food Bank Association and FAO organised a donation convoy, which travelled through the city centre of Budapest to take 30 tons of donation and food to families in need all over Hungary. Upon Hungary’s initiative 16 October has been the UN’s World Food Day since 1981. Donations came from: Bijó Food Trade, Bio-Fungi, Budapest Wholesale Market, Bonafarm Group, Danone, Famíliatészta, FrieslandCampina Hungária, Gyermelyi, Izsáki Home Pasta, METRO, Nestlé Hungária, Penny Market, Sága Foods, Soós Pasta, TESCO Hungary and Univer Zrt.
