HUF 30 million donation from dm
Dm Hungary has collected over HUF 19 million during its half year campaign concluded on 30. September with its „Erezd jol magad!” packages and „egeszsegforintos” products. Having rounded this figure up to HUF 30 million, they were able to donate an amount of HUF 15 million to both Heim Pal Childrens’ Hospital and to Peter Cerny Foundation. The chain achieved revenues of over HUF 41 billion last year, which is 20 per cent more than a year before. Dm plans to open 28 stores this year – a third of these will be opened in Budapest – in addition to the existing 190. Dm has a market share of 9.2 per cent in the field of household chemical products, while in some categories its sales exceed the total combined sales of all hyper markets. According to Julia Nagy, marketing manager, their private label policy, with numerous inventive product lines, is one of the main reasons behind their success.
