Warimpex and Louvre Hotels to build 3 stars hotel in Budapest
The Austrian Warimpex said before, that it will develope 20 hotels in Hungary, first of renovating B category officebuildings.
Warimpex AG and Louvre Hotels have
purchased land in Budapest under their joint venture, where the
companies will develop a 3-star hotel operating under Louvre Hotels
Campanile brand. The plot is situated next to a station on a metro
line in Üllõi út. The hotel will feature 280 rooms in
contemporary design, conference rooms, a restaurant and about 150
underground parking spaces. As construction is to start in the second
half of 2008, the hotel is expected to open in spring 2010.
In
March 2007, Warimpex and Louvre Hotels agreed to form a strategic
joint venture for the
development of two budget hotel chains in
Central Europe. Over the next five to seven years, more than 80
hotels are planned for Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and
Hungary.
