2D code for Christmas
According to data from Scanbuy (New York), in August more 2D codes were scanned in the USA than in 2009. From Heineken beers to Gap clothes, QR codes can now be found on several retail items. These codes can be read by using a mobile phone and they offer all kinds of content, from prize games through product description to a link to the brand’s Facebook profile. Practically the code connects the different communication channels used by the brand. In the US several QR code campaigns will be implemented before Christmas.
