Gross average wage: 229,800 forints
Compared with the same period a year earlier, gross wages grew 1.8 percent at enterprises employing at least 5 people, budgetary institutions and observed non-profit organisations. In January-March 2014 the gross average wage was HUF 229,800. Those working full time earned a gross average of HUF 246,600 at enterprises and HUF 199,700 at budgetary institutions. At national economy level the average net wage – calculated without family benefits – was HUF 150,500 (HUF 101,600 for blue collar workers and HUF 205,300 for white collar workers) – exceeding the level of the same period in 2013 by 1.8 percent. Compared with Q1 2013, people earned 6.4 percent more at national economy level (5.5 percent more in the competitive sector, 9 percent more in the budgetary sector and 8.3 percent more at non-profit organisations)
