Mandatory indication of origin for nuts and dried fruit from 1 January 2025
From the beginning of 2025 it will be compulsory to indicate the country of origin on the packaging of certain nuts and dried fruit. The new rule will apply to the most traded products according to Eurostat data, such as nuts, hazelnuts, almonds, chestnuts, pistachios, dried citrus fruits and prunes, as well as certain mixtures. Special markings may be used for mixtures of produce from several countries.//
