In 2018, Tesco supported more than 100,000 needy people with their daily food donations
Tesco has launched its food-saving program in 163 out of its 205 stores in Hungary. In 2018, the supermarket chain donated more than 7 500 tonnes of food to those in need through the Hungarian Food Bank Association and its partner organizations.
Last year, 109,000 people in need were helped by the supermarket chain’s donations – in daily food saving. Tesco wants to switch all of its stores into the food saving chain, and for this, Tesco is waiting for more charitable organizations all over the country.
