Prices reduced 0.1 percent last year
Compared with December 2014, consumer prices were 0.9 percent higher in December 2015. Grocery prices rose 2.2 percent and within the category seasonal product (potato, fresh vegetables and fruits) prices augmented by 23 percent. Consumers had to pay 12.7 percent more for cooking oil and 9.2 percent more for sugar.
In 2015 consumer prices fell 0.1 percent. Grocery prices were up 0.9 percent on average (the increase was the biggest, 3.1 percent in the alcoholic beverages and tobacco products category), consumers had to pay 1.9 percent more for services and 0.8 percent more for consumer durables. Domestic energy cost 2.9 percent less for consumers.
