Consistent agri payment system from 2010
According to Gráf József Agricultural and Rural Development Minister, the government decided to introduce the consistent agri payment system (SPS) in Hungary next year.
In the Minister’s opinion the introduction of SPS would be beneficial to the Hungarian agriculture, because it would make the EU supports more calculable to the farmers. He said, that after the introduction of the SPS, surely those would receive the supports who do the production. The landowners who have leased their land, continue to receive the rent. At the moment, Hungarian agriculture receive 860 million euro aid. However, this will increase 10 percent annually, until it will reach the 100 percent level of support – reports MTI – Eco.
