Cognac sales have been decreasing since 2008
Cognac sales declined by 12.4 percent worldwide in 2009 – said the professional organization of the French Cognac Producers.
Sales are reducing for the second consecutive year, after the 6.2 percent decline of 2008. Previously, the cognac demand of the world has increased for six years.
Last year, cognac consumption in Europe has fallen by 18 percent, while in East Asia by 9.9 percent, in North America and Mexico by 9.2 and 6.3 percent in the Far East – reports MTI.
