Hotel room rates on their 2004 level

Last year, despite the 2 percent increase hotel room rates only reached their 2004 levels worldwide. In Europe, room rates stabilized on their 2009 in 2010.

The hotel price index (HPI) of Hotels.com however, indicates that the market slowly, but picks up. After the previous year's strong hotel price decline last year prices were on their 6-7 years ago level, decreasing by 13 percent in 2009 – reports MTI.
