Food consumption decreased, compared to 2000
The consumption expenditure was 750,309 HUF per capita for the people living in households in 2008, which was 23.5 percent higher in real terms, compared to 2000 – reports the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
The household food consumption expenditure decreased by 8.2 percent on 2000 prices in the tested period, the change, however, was not consistent.
The expenditure at constant prices in 2000-2008 increased by 23.3 percent, the most dynamic increase in spendings occured in hospitality trade.
