Raw milk’s price drops below 200 forints
According to AKI PÁIR data, the average national producer price of raw milk in Hungary was HUF 199.3/kg in June 2025.
With both fat and protein content declining by 0.06 percentage points and the base price remaining unchanged, the average price of raw milk was down 1% compared to May 2025, but it was 22% higher than the average price in June 2024. Raw milk’s export price was HUF 188.83/kg in June 2025, up 4% from the previous month and 16% from June 2024. Raw milk deliveries decreased by 24% in June 2025 if compared to the same month of the previous year.
According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture, 4.8 million tonnes of wheat were harvested by 22 July, from 89% of the area awaiting harvest (869 million hectares), with an average yield of 5.5 tonnes/hectare. According to AKI PÁIR data, milling wheat was traded at an average producer price of HUF 77,000/tonne – excluding VAT and transport costs – in the third week of July. This price was 12% higher than a year earlier. Feed wheat was trading at HUF 73,500/tonne (+16%)
