Rossmann is starting an investment of 20 billion in Hungary
Rossmann is planning for the long term in Hungary, by the end of 2025 they plan to hand over a 28,000 square meter logistics center, which will be complemented by a 4,000 square meter office. As part of the 20 billion investment, a semi-automatic warehouse will be built, which is not only unique in the Hungarian trade sector, but will also enable further expansions in the future.
The investment will take place in Üllő, where the company currently operates. When choosing the location, they took into account the large proportion of colleagues living in and near the settlement, as well as the good relationship with the local government.
For Rossmann, a particularly important aspect during the planning was to keep as much green space as possible on the lot.
“We plan to plant more than 100 trees and 5,000 shrubs in total. The new center will meet the most modern sustainability requirements, solar panels will be placed on the roof, the office and part of the warehouse will be heated with a heat pump system, and electric cars will be charged in the parking lots.”
– said András Farkas, the building investment project manager.
