Agricultural producer prices have increased by 1.8 percent
In May, the producer price level of agricultural products rose by 1.8 percent, compared to the level of the previous year. The price of crop products fell by 1.7 percent, while the price of live animals and live animal products increased by 10.0 percent – the Central Statistical Office announced on Friday.
In January-May 2012, the agricultural producer prices fell by 1.0 percent, compared to the first five months of the last year. The producer price level of agricultural products decreased from February to April: In April, the producer price level of agricultural products was 2.9 percent lower than a year before, after the price of crop products fell by 8.7 percent, while the price of live animals and animal products increased by 11.1 percent.
