173 local organizations collected HUF 42 million from Tesco
He entrusted the fate of HUF 42 million to Tesco customers, who decided in the stores which local communities should share the support.
The department store chain announced its “You choose, we help” tender program for the 12th time, in the framework of which nearly 2 million votes were received for 173 community-building initiatives. Depending on the number of votes, the company contributes 400, 200, and 100,000 forints each to the implementation of a project that beautifies the environment, educates and develops skills, and promotes a healthy lifestyle, and rewards the four most creative initiatives with an additional 475,000 forints each.
In Tesco’s “You choose, we help” tender program, customers decide which programs the supermarket chain will support in their area. During the voting period from January 16 to February 12, Tesco customers could vote for, among other things, an attitude-shaping escape room, a free railway history exhibition, an invisible dinner, a logic park, a parakarate competition, family SUP training, a robotics competition, as well as an interactive presentation about limb deficiency. . Almost 2 million tokens were thrown into the collectors in the department stores, the most votes were cast in the Tesco Extra hypermarket in Szeged.
