16.5% More Food Sold in Slovakia
The consumer bought more premium products, the sale of biofoods grow.Last year the 10 biggest retail chains
had a revenue over SK 100 billion, the food section rose with 16.5%,
the total sales was over SK 81 billions. Only 3 from the TOP 10 are
in Slovakian hands, the Labas, two Coop Jednota and the CBA, in spite
of ontinuing expansion of multinational retail chains, the domestic
chains had sales rise last year too.
From the multinational companies Tesco
has the most shops, 58 and have already announced their plans to
open smaller outlets in smaller towns.
