Farmers can apply for the new “Poultry Animal Welfare Support” call between November 15, 2022 and December 15, 2022. In the framework of the Poultry Animal Welfare Fund – code number VP3-14.1.4-22 – announced on October 12, 2022, with a total amount of HUF 15 billion, non-refundable support can be provided to poultry farmers who meet the obligations set out in the call for animal welfare that go beyond the applicable regulations undertake. Zsolt Feldman highlighted that this year it will be possible to join the support between November 15, 2022 and December 15, 2022, and next year, between September 15, 2023 and October 15, 2023.
This is how the application can be submitted
The primary condition for submitting a grant application is that the applicant has a client ID in the client registration system, and with this, they can submit their application on the electronic form-filling interface available on the website of the Hungarian State Treasury. Any agricultural producer who is registered as a keeper of animals in the registration systems and whose farms fully comply with the animal welfare regulations in force and the conditions detailed in the call can submit an application for support. The call aims to improve the well-being of poultry flocks by reducing animal density, preventing mechanical injuries, using drinking water quality, and – in the case of hens and breeding poultry flocks that produce edible eggs – by feeding them with toxin-free feed. The one-year commitment period of the support starts on October 16, 2022, and the next one-year support period starts on October 16, 2023, the state secretary announced.
The call can be viewed at www.palyazat.gov.hu.
